#Light Roast
one of Kenya’s most renowned and highly regarded coffee-growing regions.
Kenya is best known for its washed coffees, making this lot a less conventional expression of the country’s familiar coffee profile.
Its Natural Anaerobic process gives the coffee a funky, fruit-forward character, with notes of cherry, liqueur, kiwi-like acidity, and a deep cocoa finish.
The roast is light, and we especially recommend it for espresso, where it produces a rich, sweet, and characterful cup.
It is also an excellent choice for filter brewing for those looking to explore a unique and intriguing coffee experience

Established in 1999, the Ichamama Washing Station is part of the Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society, which brings together hundreds of smallholder coffee farmers in the Nyeri region. The coffee is grown at elevations of 1,650–1,800 meters above sea level on rich volcanic soils, conditions that promote slow cherry development and contribute to a sweet and complex cup profile.

Coffee cherries are hand-picked and carefully sorted before processing, while the cooperative provides its farmers with ongoing agronomic support and technical guidance to ensure consistently high quality across every harvest.
